Fall LifeGroup Series (Sep 19 - Nov 14)
Our church of small groups is re-launching this Fall with our re-envisioned plan for LifeGroups!  LifeGroups are 8-12 people that meet regularly for fellowship, prayer, Bible study and service.  As we gather together, friendships are made.  As we read and discuss the Bible, we grow in our relationship with God.  As we give our lives away in meaningful service, we are a blessing to others and become more like Jesus!

In this 9-week series our LifeGroups will be studying: The Holy Spirit, Missions and the principles of Advent Conspiracy.

Don’t miss the spiritual opportunities that this Fall brings!  Start planning the re-launch of your LifeGroup.

LifeGroup Connection Event (September 19, 6:00 pm)
If you are not in a LifeGroup, come out on Sunday night, September 19^th (6-7:30pm) and get connected!  Our plan is to begin as many new groups as necessary for the Fall LifeGroup Series. 

An RSVP is not necessary, but if you can, please do!  Check the box on the Communication Card or email admin@norkenzie.net.  When you RSVP, let us know if you have any childcare needs.

The purpose of our LifeGroups: To share life together, connecting with God and one another through the reading and discussion of God’s Word, and to serve with the attitude of Jesus (Philippians 2:5).

VacationBible School Video
Did you miss coming to VBS and would like to see some of the fun we had? Were you there and want to relive the amazing time you had? YOU CAN! We have VBS DVD’s available to order for only $2.00 per DVD.  (a DVD has already been sent to every family that came to VBS who doesn’t attend Norkenzie) The order form is in the fireside room.

Sunday School
The Children’s Ministry Team continues to pray about our Sunday School classes. Our desire is to find ways to effectively minister to children and equip people to serve God by working with children. As a result, we feel led to make some adjustments to our Sunday Morning classes. We are excited about how God is moving us and we feel these changes will meet the needs of our kids and volunteers. One of the changes is a restructuring that allows for smaller segments of time & responsibility for volunteers.

So, there are still service opportunities available. We are asking you to consider a variety of time commitments & opportunities. Some examples: Serve for 1 month, every other week, once a month or the whole school year. You can teach the Bible story or lead the games, assist a teacher, lead Worship or come just to enjoy spending time with kids, building relationships with them. Women's Ministry Team Update
The Women's Ministry Team thanks you for your prayers.  We have three new members (Lois Dillon, Kathleen Elligsen, and Jackie Fosback), affirmed by the elders, that have joined the team with Sinita Wilson.  Planning is underway.  Stay tuned for news updates including Fall Bible Studies. 

EagleScout Building Project
Ben Buchholz, 15 years old, started his scouting adventure here at Norkenzie as a Cub Scout about ten years ago.  He is now working on his Eagle Project.  He has chosen the Garden Shed rebuild for that project.  He has prepared plans and a materials list.  The next steps require him to raise the funds for the materials and gather volunteers to do the work.  If you have questions you can contact Ben at 541-686-9516.  If you would like to donate, you can do so through Norkenzie and mark it "Eagle Project".

Women of Faith Tickets
Women of Faith is October 8 and 9 (Friday and Saturday) in Portland at the Rose Garden. There are two tickets remaining in the section of other Norkenzie women and friends. If you have lost your Bible please check for it on the counter in the main office Copy Room.  They will be donated if they are not picked up soon.
